I believe what brought him down was his inability to hit those high notes. Unfortunately for him, it sounded like he didn't have a proper warm-up and just missed the notes. On a side note, it's great to see someone doing this on a trombone, not a more widely known instrument, such as a trumpet or sousaphone.
