money after finishing a job ,, its a combination of a job well done on the employees part and the dubai peoples money paying those workers). Other, non-western nations are allowed to be successful . What about the non-western workers working HERE in western countriesdoes that mean that THEY did it all for us then too?

OUR money did not pay for that. Their economy does not only depend on oil. Their strong economy (oil, tourism, fishing, dates and many many others), made their money for them, so their money paid for their success (not to mention THEIR money paid the westerners who were working there.. so when we come back from there with lots of

I am happy for them that they have come so far. I'm proud to be a Westerner and of what WE have also accomplished. Let's be happy for Dubai, give them the credit they deserve, and stop trying to lick the icing of their cake..

Of COURSE we had something to do with it, how dare any other country attempt to be better than us at something and especially how DARE they succeed at it? We MUST have had something to do with it. Sheesh, grow up people. Dubai was THEIR success.

I am ashamed to see how we always seem to think that if some other non-western nation succeeds and\or surpasses our efforts at doing something, especially if it's related to technological or "modernizing" advancement, we automatically think that it was because of us.
